Malta-based iGaming leader Rootz is currently gearing up for the launch of its fourth online casino brand, CEO Lasse Rantala has revealed.

Asked about Rootz’s outlook for the next years by WhosWho.mt as part of an article on the company’s growth from a foundling startup to a leading company in Malta’s iGaming sector, Mr Rantala said it is “bullish”, and working on its fourth online casino brand.

After that, he said, the company will place an “intensive” focus on developing new markets and verticals, adding that the company’s staff is excited about what lies ahead in the coming months and years.

The launch of Rootz’s fourth portal will come after an intensive period of expansion for the company, which was only licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) in 2019.

It launched its first casino brand, Wildz, that same year and saw it nominated in multiple categories at the SBC Awards 2019 event.

In the years following, despite the long shadow of the pandemic, it would launch a second (Caxino), followed by a third (Wheelz).

Earlier this year, the company’s efforts were vindicated by its receiving of four awards at Malta’s iGaming Excellence Awards 2021 (MiGEA), including ‘Malta’s Best Start-Up Company of the Year Award’, ‘Malta’s Best Online Casino Operator of the Year Award’, Malta’s Best Rising Star in iGaming’, and for Mr Rantala ‘Malta’s Best CEO of the Year’.
