The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has formally issued a Notice of Cancellation to Oddsfly Limited following multiple breaches of regulatory obligations.

Oddsfly Limited failed to pay annual licence fees for 2018, 2019, and 2020, amounting to €75,000, as well as compliance contribution fees totalling €29,814.52, which were due by August 2018. Despite previous enforcement measures, these sums remain outstanding, bringing the total due to the MGA to €104,814.52.

The Authority highlighted that the licence was already suspended on 7th August 2018 due to material breaches, and after a thorough assessment, it concluded that the cancellation is the most appropriate measure. The MGA cited several grounds under the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations, including the failure to meet regulatory and financial obligations, insolvency concerns, and the failure to rectify the suspended authorisation.

The MGA has directed Oddsfly Limited to settle the outstanding amounts immediately, noting that interest will accrue in accordance with the applicable rules until full payment is made. It warned that failure to submit representations or regularise the company’s position will lead to the final cancellation of the licence and potentially further enforcement actions.

The Authority emphasised that this notice is issued without prejudice to any additional legal or regulatory measures it may pursue to recover the outstanding dues.
