ID card KYC

MrQ, a fast-growing UK online casino, has integrated the HooYu KYC (know-your-customer) platform to improve its customer onboarding and KYC journey.

MrQ.com grew by over 300 per cent in 2021 and customers g up to play casino and bingo with MrQ can now enjoy a quicker yet more robust customer onboarding process that uses multiple KYC technologies to confirm age and identity.

Smarter technology is described as one of MrQ’s driving focuses, and the company chose HooYu after an evaluation of several KYC providers.

Their new KYC waterfall process uses database checks to confirm name, date of birth and address but where data checks fail, a fully customised HooYu journey is triggered.

The customer is then guided through a selfie, ID document and proof of address capture process. HooYu then conducts instant facial biometrics, ID document validation and address proofing processes.

The new MrQ HooYu journey speeds up the onboarding process, with no need to wait for onerous manual validation checks. HooYu also offers additional features in the HooYu journey such as a payment card check service to automate pay-out checks and open banking to help determine customer affordability.

Savvas Fellas, CEO at MrQ, commented, “HooYu forms a big part of our overall strategy. In addition to that we are really aligned on using technology to push the boundaries of how our underlying businesses operate. We see HooYu as a tool that if leveraged properly can have a huge impact on how streamlined our business can ultimately become”

David Pope, HooYu marketing director, added, “Here’s another gaming operator that chose HooYu because of the range of KYC services we orchestrate, the ease of our configuration and integration tools and the quality of the UI that glides the through their KYC steps.”
