Betago loses MGA licence

Betago Limited has had its authorisation cancelled by the Malta Gaming Authority, which has also ordered to company to settle all outstanding fees due to the authority within seven days.

Betago Limited, bearing the licence number MGA/B2C/355/2016, will have to refund all player monies to the respective players.

Following that, it will need to submit a transaction report extracted from its back-end system to the MGA, together with the ing bank statements, attesting that all player funds have been duly remitted to the ed players.

The MGA also noted that it reserves the right to request the company to provide the authority with the necessary facilities in order for the latter to extract and make copies of the relevant data, including but not limited to essential regulatory data.

Finally, Betago must also immediately remove any reference to the MGA from its website and communications.

The decision remains subject to appeal.
